Professor of Target Biology & Chemistry

Obtained MD (1990) at the University of Bonn. Extensive experience in neuro-oncology, neuro-inflammation and -degeneration, gene therapy and multi-model molecular imaging, as well as in supporting and guiding design/execution of preclinical and clinical multi-modal molecular imaging studies. Trained and supervised 7 MD students, 8 master students, 4 PhD, 4 MD/PhD students and post-docs (22) of various disciplines (physics, chemistry, pharmacy, biology and neurology). Published over 100 original articles, 34 reviews and 24 book chapters and participated in different EU projects related to molecular imaging, of which he coordinated 2 (DIMI, INMiND).

Obtained a PhD at the University of Münster (UoM) (2003). Head of the Chemistry Group at the European Institute for Molecular imaging (EIMI) and will support the coordination of the production of radiotracers employed in animal experiments.

Nuclear medicine physician specialised in small animal imaging. Head of the Imaging Group at EIMI, with extensive experience in multi-modal molecular imaging. He will support the µPET animal imaging experiments.

Head of Technology Group at EIMI

Obtained a PhD at the UoM (2000). Extensive experience in quantitative and high-resolution PET, motion correction, and multimodal molecular imaging techniques (PET/CT, SPECT/CT, MR/PET). He will support quantification of µPET data analysis.
